This one is near and dear to my heart. I made it for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. I tried to incorporate milestones from their marriage and treasured family memories as much as possible. A replica of the first truck they owned; "Georgia On My Mind", as they eloped to Georgia; music notes denoting all of their children and grandchildren; and two very special roses representing my grandmothers who had recently passed on and were not able to share in this memory.

Family Cakes
I have a large family so I get many opportunities throughout the year to make fun cakes for those closest to me. The ones for my grandbabies are always my favorites.

My grandson's first birthday. His dad is a huge University of Michigan fan, so that makes him a fan too!
My boyfriend and his twin brother's birthday.
For my granddaughter's 2nd birthday, Dora & Diego.
And Moose & Zee for her 3rd.
My daughter's birthday. Style for style.
This was a treat for my granddaughter. Something sweet to eat while her little brother was tearing into his first cake.

Pulled Sugar
Pulled sugar is a simple recipe using sugar, water and vinegar. Cooking the sugar carefully at an accurate temperature will turn it into a smooth and pliable mass of sweetness that can be handled and formed into a variety of shapes. Here are a few of my creations:

My son-in-law's birthday. Everything but the plate is 100% edible!
So you get the idea...we like beer. The ice in the bucket is sugar as well.
